I'm Sadie
Head Typesetter, Cover Designer & Proofreader
With a background in journalism and over 12 years’ experience working in the production side of book publishing, I’m used to wearing quite a few different hats - from copywriting and proofreading to typesetting, eBook creation and book cover design. Having worked on hundreds of books and journals, unsurprisingly I’m a total bibliophile, with a particular love of fiction, children’s literature and travel writing.
After working in Sheffield and then remotely around the world, I’m now back in my hometown of Lancaster, sharing a home office with my husband and an incredibly lazy, adopted greyhound.

MJ Pankey
Proofreader & Developmental Editor
MJ Pankey is passionate about working with authors to craft their greatest masterpiece and specializes in content editing, copyediting, and proofreading. She is an experienced editor in nearly every genre from fantasy to instructional how-tos. As a fellow writer, MJ understands the creative process and appreciates the complexity of author voice, style, and intent, which she carefully considers in each and every suggested edit of your manuscript.

Viv Ainslie
Proofreader & Typesetter
Working as an editor and proofreader in the publishing industry for over 20 years, Viv left the world of big business to set out on her own and found Parrot Publishing, a UK-based publishing house which prides itself on offering personal and bespoke services to authors.
Always willing to go the extra mile, Viv is an expert proofreader and copyeditor, and is also a skilled typesetter.
Viv and Sadie worked together on the cover design for the upcoming Purple Parrot title The Loving Abductor, by Jan Ford.
